My MCAT Scores Are Back!
And while they weren't quite as high as my KAPLAN practice exam scores, they're still respectable. Test Date: | 04/16/2005 | Verbal Reasoning (VR): | 10 | Percentile Range: 66.1 - 83.4 | Physical Sciences (PS): |
11 | Percentile Range: 80.9 - 91.1 | Writing Sample (WS): | P |
Percentile Range: 55.9 - 70.0 | Biological Sciences (BS): | 10 | Percentile Range: 61.9 - 79.7 |
Total Score: | 31P | Percentile Range: 80.6 - 84.9 |
For those who don't know much about the MCAT, I wrote a rather long post about it just after I took the exam. A briefer explaination, but in a longer-to-load .pdf file, is the 2005 MCAT Explaination of Scores sheet enclosed with the score report by the Assoc. of American Medical Colleges. For the statistically-oriented, there's a data sheet posted on the MCAT website with the generic histograms for the April 2005 administration of the MCAT. According to it, 28,764 students sat for the exam, and my composite score was a full Standard Deviation above the mean. I'm sure I'll get feedback in a bit from my KAPLAN course, as well as from other people who took the exam. So far, I'm pleased with my scores.
