"Dumbest Comment...Ever" Award
This rather dubious award is now held by one John Bambenek, who decided it was a good idea to say:
Ok, how about this fact, Hitler was a leftist. That's right, he was a socialist. Despite your history books that keep saying he is right wing, every policy that didn't have to do with killing Jews was socialist economics and collectivist politics.
Now, unless you want to assert the only difference between left-wing and right-wing people is that right wingers want to kill of classes of people, the definitions in place show Hitler was left wing.
There's one.
Leftists like to pat themselves on the back on how smart they are and how enlightened they are, but funny thing, you can't manage to convince anyone about your ideas because your main tactic is to limit discussion. You do pretty good in rooms of bobble-heads. In the realm of ideas you lose every time. In punnishment for such public idiocy, not only will John not be taken seriously for the next week (though it's not as if I regularly take him seriously), but he is now directed to read The Rise of Pseudo-Fascism series, Rush, Newspeak, and Fascism series, and the currently ongong March of the Minutemen series by David Neiwert, who does a lot of reporting on the far right.
