old glory
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.
My regular readers should all remember the Cartoon Two, Acton Gorton and Chuck Prochaska, who were suspended in the middle of February for a period of two weeks, pending investigation of the publication of the Danish cartoons. While Gorton stoked his involvement in the controversy in the national press for all it was worth, his fifteen minutes have long since expired. In the meantime there's been no word as to whether they've been fired for good of if they've gotten their jobs back. As of 5 March, Acton said that he hadn't gotten his job back, but that's been the last news on the topic. So, what happened? Will the eternal disgrace stick to Acton, for his actions, or the Daily Illini for accepting him back as Editor-in-Chief?
